Our story

The people behind the food.

Dror grew up in Arad, a small town in southern Israel. His Moroccan father and his mother — a deeply passionate home cook — raised him on the street foods of Tel Aviv and the cuisine of Jerusalem. He moved to the U.S. in his early twenties chasing those flavors, took culinary classes here, and built Around the Table to share what he grew up with.

Lee, his wife and sous chef, is a born-and-raised Pennsylvanian who keeps the line moving and the standards high. Together, every recipe is from scratch, every batch is supervised by the Lehigh Valley Kashrut Commission (LVKC), and the truck closes on Fridays and Saturdays for Shabbat.

Fresh falafel. Full pitas. Plenty of tahini. Healthy happens to be part of it; delicious comes first.

Is the falafel kosher?

Yes. Everything we serve is certified Pareve — neither meat nor dairy — and 100% vegetarian, supervised by the Lehigh Valley Kashrut Commission (LVKC). We close Friday and Saturday for Shabbat.

What's on the menu?

Israeli street food: falafel, veggie gyro (sabich), tofu shawarma, shakshuka, vegan schnitzel and vegan nuggets, plus build-your-own rice bowls and four kinds of fries. Mains are $5–$17, sides $7–$15, drinks $2–$4. Taxes not included.

Everything is vegetarian. Vegan items include the falafel, tofu shawarma, vegan schnitzel sandwich, vegan nuggets, loaded fries and all three other kinds of fries. Rice bowls can be built vegan with falafel or tofu shawarma. The veggie gyro and shakshuka contain egg. Most pita-based items contain sesame from the tahini and hummus, and the tofu shawarma contains soy.
